Mr. Martinicky, Access Control & Security Systems' 2001 Security Director of the Year, began his career with International Truck and Engine Corporation (formerly Navistar) in 1982. He developed and implemented the Navistar Passive Theft Deterrent System-a first in the trucking industry-in 1986. It's been used on all International vehicles for the last 20 years. Another first, introduced in 1987, is the computerized pre-employment background investigation.
